turns out they're sort of essential for actually functioning in a way that works.

many thanks to Steph who pointed this out, because this week Steph has the brain

i built a spinach salad the size of my FACE with also pine nuts, extra-sharp cheddar, red romaine, basil, tarragon, meyer lemon olive oil, & balsamic vinegar, all of which has the electrolytes, & then i eated it all, it was THE TASTIEST

& then just to be really sure i ate an entire bag of chips

things are better, i was still really tired yesterday but i think that is more to do with i walked a bunch & then there was a yard sale & then TEN SURPRISE PEOPLE at the house all afternoon GUYS THIS IS NOT COOL

so yeah drinking lots of water, watching electrolytes, this seems to be working. it is a good.

I think the best salad is the one one eats while gardening, without ever going inside, just washing stuff off at the pump ... but this one sounds pretty good.

I'm SO glad the things helped. Do not forget to do the things when it is hot! <3 For me, starting the hydration maintenance as soon as or right before I go into the heat/the heat comes to me is usually sufficient to kick start things and avoid doom.
